• participate in a story
• create their first dialogues and present them
• record a conversation in the language lab
• begin working with classroom vocabulary

7th grade students will:

• finish Unidad 1 and take the test
• watch and discuss a documentary on Teotihuacan
• read "El secreto de su nombre"
• start Unidad 2

• be assessed on learning of the alphabet

Students in 8th grade Upper Standard will:
-be assessed on the present tense reflexive verb conjugation
- create and present their own versions of Pobre Ana
-apply the preterite and present progressive tenses to reflexive verbs
-learn about verbs like gustar



Students in 8th grade Advanced will:
- complete a writing task using the preterite tense and discussing what they did yesterday
- learn about negative words in Spanish
- learn about verbs like gustar
- begin a new short novel
