Spanish 6th grade
This month we will:

• continue working with the alphabet and conversational vocab
• learn about where in the world Spanish is spoken
• learn the countries and capitals cities where Spanish is the official language
• participate in our first story
• review numbers 0-31

Spanish 8th grade Upper Standard

This month we will:

• demonstrate our learning of weather expressions
• start reading Pobre Ana
• learn about Estar and conditions/emotions
• learn about the Present progressive
• learn about Direct Object Pronouns

Spanish 8th grade Advanced

This month we will:

• continue reading Pobre Ana

• participate in a story telling activity
• complete a culture project and present
• learn about the present progressive
• learn about Direct Object pronouns

Tarea:  Read Chp 3 of Pobre Ana for Wed, Oct 5.

Spanish 7th grade

This month we will:

• start Chp 5 vocabulary and have a quiz on it
• prepare for Final Exam (on June 17 and June 20, during class time)
• participate in another story
• complete a Berto review activity

• learn about e->i  stem-changers
• learn about "go" verbs
• participate in another story
• participate in a conversation project
• have Chp 4 test

Tarea:  Conversation final drafts and presentations are on Wed, May 18.
Tarea: Listening, short answer, and reading comprehension portion of the Chp 4 test is on Thurs, May 26.  Speaking portion will be on Wed, June 1.  SEE: the Google Classroom Site.

• complete a Regions of Spain project
• continue to work with Chp 4 vocab
• start learning about stem-changing verbs
• participate in another story

Tarea:  Quiz on meaning of 17 stem-changing verbs on Mon, May 2.
Tarea:  Boot verbs project due on Mon, May 2 (you may turn it in early on Fri, Apr 29)

Tarea: Finish calendar project  (Days 1&3 - Due Thurs, Mar 3;  Days 2& 4 - Mar 4)
Tarea: Tests on Wed, Mar 9 (Days 1 & 3), and Thurs, Mar 10 (Days 2 & 4).
Tarea: Final drafts and presentations of dialogues are on Thurs, Mar 17.

-learn how to talk about what you are "going to" do

-read another chapter of Berto y sus buenas ideas

- take an open-notebook test on the previous two terms
-participate in class storytelling
-work with subject pronouns

Tarea: If you did not finish the open-notebook test, it is due on Wed, Feb 10 (Days 2&4) and Thurs, Feb 11 (Days 1 &3).

- learn ER/IR verb conjugation
- learn tener phrases
- start to read a short story "Berto y sus buenas ideas"
- participate in class storytelling
